We are seeking an Architect or Interior Designer to join our team. Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and accountable to budgets and schedules. Please view our website at www.mlgroupdd.com ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Participates in project team meetings, design and development. • Participate in client programming sessions, and document finding. • Conduct as-built surveys of existing conditions at project sites including ability to freely travel by car to job sites as needed. • Independently produce design drawings and procurement documents. • Assist in selection and specification of interior materials such as furniture, fixtures, and equipment. • Independently conform design and selections to a specified project budget. • Create material boards, rendered floors plans, and 3D views for presentations. • Work with FF&E vendors and fabricators on design details, layouts, quotes and orders. • Work with contractors on budgeting, construction details, programming, and scheduling. • Meet occasionally with manufacturers’ representative to keep the resource library in order and up-to-date. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Undergraduate degree in Architecture or Interior Design • Minimum two years’ experience in Interior Design or Architecture • Proficient in AutoCAD. • Experience with graphics programs such as SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) Job Type: Full-timeRequired experience: • Interior Design: 2 years Job Type: Full-time Required experience: • Experience in Interior Design required: 1 year Required education: • Bachelor's degree Job Type: Full-time Experience: • Experience in interior design: 1 year (Required) Location: • Skokie, IL (Required)
