About this role

JSI is looking for an interior designer to cultivate projects from the initial client presentation through completion. The designer will be a self-motivated individual that has the ability to keep projects on track with minimal supervision. The designer will have a keen eye for high end luxury design solutions that are unique for each individual client. Responsibilities... • Create/collaborate during initial concept designs to set the vision for the project. • Execute details of final design through completion of the project. • Prepare various materials for client presentations including mood boards and room layouts. • Select finishes, fabrics, furniture, lighting, accessories, etc. • Contact various showrooms for pricing, availability and lead time. • Prepare detailed client proposals. Once approved by client, prepare purchase orders for the selections. • Engage with various contractors to create schedule/timeline and attend contractor meetings. • Review and approve various shop drawings and work with contracts to ensure desired vision is achieved. • Perform regular job site visits to take measurements, oversee installations, ensure quality of work, and direct photoshoots. • Maintain billable hour level on weekly basis. • Troubleshoot issues and respond to client’s questions and concerns in timely, professional manner. • Take initiative and ownership of each assigned project. Required Soft Qualifications • Self-motivated and creative innovator • Excellent oral and written communicator • Goal oriented – able to set and manage tasks from start to finish Required Technical Qualifications • 2-3 years designer experience with focus on residential interiors • Must be proficient in CAD • Proficient in Microsoft office, Google sheets, and Slides. • Proficiency in Sketchup and Ivy/Houzz Pro is preferred but not required Work Remotely • No Ideal Candidate • Lives and breathes interior design • Self directed and happy to juggle multiple projects • Has experience working with clients • Not only understands the importance of organization, systems and processes but loves to use them to keep their projects joyful and efficient • Has an upbeat personality and a positive attitude Job Type: Full-time Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: • Southlake, TX 76092: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Application Question(s): • Are you proficient in CAD? • What is your availability to start?
