Quick Apply Contract Internship 3 hours ago Full Job Description Herringbone & Brass, a full-service interior design firm located in Brookline, MA, is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our team. The designer will first assist our designers in all aspects of the firm's work, but will have the opportunity to take on projects as principal designer as soon as the person... demonstrates the ability to lead efficiently and independently. Candidate must live close to Boston, or be willing to commute frequently into the greater Boston area to meet with clients or meet in the office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to manage a project independently Familiarity with all aspects of design development (working with builders, architects, subs) Sourcing finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware & accessories. Concept development, drafting in AutoCAD. Preparation of detailed client presentations. Product specification, quote requests and preparation of client proposals. Coordinating with vendors, contractors, sales reps and sub-contractors. Placing of orders and interacting with our purchasing department. Order tracking. Scheduling and overseeing site installations. Traveling to client's homes, retail stores and showrooms. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Minimum 3 years of experience as a junior interior designer or higher in a residential design firm. Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign Proficient in Google Docs, Google Slides and other cloud-based systems (DropBox). Familiarity with Designer Advantage a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High work ethic. Highly detail-oriented. Great at multitasking. Access to a car. COMPENSATION Competitive and based on experience. Our office is located in the heart of Coolidge Corner, Brookline.
