Position Overview: The Selections Specialist plays a pivotal role in our company by collaborating with clients to select finishes and materials for their home renovation projects. This position involves coordinating selections, managing timelines and budgets, and providing administrative support to ensure a smooth and successful renovation process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Attend pre-sale Design Consultations and post-sale Walk-throughs to understand the scope of the project and client preferences.
• Prepare and review initial Design Questionnaires, Sales Renovations contracts, and Final Sales Renderings, ensuring accuracy of information and pricing.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors regarding selections, timelines, and order status, facilitating appointments and communication.
• Conduct research on product costs and specifications, providing information to the Accounting Department for order processing.
• Create 3D computer-aided design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and renderings, to visualize design concepts and present to customers during Finishes Consultations.
• Compile finalized finish selections and create Finishes Contracts for client review, approval and sale.
• Collaborate with local distributors on material pricing and lead times.
• Organize and maintain showroom samples, assisting customers with finish material queries and potential sales.
• Create and maintain job binders with consolidated contract information for the Field department.
• Maintain digital records in project management software and cloud-based storage locations to facilitate client communication and information sharing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a design-related role or customer service position preferred.
• Strong proficiency in 3D design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization and time management.
• Knowledge of construction materials and finishes is a plus.
• Experience in showroom sales or retail environments is beneficial.
