Interior Design Sales Consultant

Position: The ideal candidate will be creative, detail oriented and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional design and customer service. You will create design boards to sale to the customers and work with our client service and delivery team for final installation. You will also be responsible to sale to individuals that come into the showroom looking for just one or two items. We have room for you to grow and expand. The company offers a dynamic environment, very team-work oriented. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Position is highly sales driven and requires a passion for home furnishings. • Assisting in customers furniture, lighting, fabric selections and interior design projects. • Design and layout floorplans with proper furniture and accessories. • Assist in on-site installations. • Ensures customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality service/products, courteous employees and quick response to needs. • Must have a passion for sales, furniture, and interior design. • Maintain and design showroom vignettes. • Establishes and promotes effective internal sales specials on a regular basis. • Maintains and stocks inventory, and prices products according to pricing as set forth by the corporate office. • Performs opening and closing duties on a daily basis such as locking/unlocking store and turning on/off the computer system. • Coordinates special projects as needed. Qualifications • Must be able to sale home furnishings. • Must be able to design, sale and close. • Must be a team player • 4 Year College degree with 2+ years of related work experience preferred or 5 years of related work experience without a degree. (not required) • Ability to varied work schedule to provide support for showroom, sales events, meetings, networking functions, etc. • Knowledge of STORIS (POS SYSTEM) • Excellent communication, reasoning skills, and computer proficiency skills. • Ability to speak, read and write English. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor • Must have ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without restrictions and to participate in processing shipment • The ability to be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time • Able to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean • Ability to use and climb ladders • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal with customers, management, employees, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with attention to detail Furniture sales and knowledge is preferred. Must know PowerPoint and Design Software is a bonus. Able to travel to vendors, workrooms, and client's installations. Car required. Responsibilities: • Design an interior space to meet client's needs. • Design customer-specific furniture, decor, and equipment based on a customer's budget and preferences. • Work with customers to manage project timelines.
