Design background. Organized, CAD, read designs and plans is must*** About the role: Supports Studio Design department by working closely with Hotel Members to market and scope design services. Responsibilities: • Provides Design Excellence and/or other program support by working closely with Members to meet their design needs. • Ensures Members have the information they need to make informed design decisions by identifying potential problems and recommending alternative solutions. Collaborates with other internal departments where necessary. • Negotiates the scope of each project by determining hours involved, pricing, and timelines. • Prepares contracts and processes them for final review and signatures. • Receives operational guidance on duties, service standards and goals. • Exhibits personal characteristics and professional standards that serve as a role model for others. • Conveys a sense of purpose and motivates others. • Familiar with relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the job. • Basic professional know-how to meet technical standards. • Conveys information and influences others. • Obtains information both internal and external to the department. • Creates and maintains trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: • Associates Degree in Architecture/Design or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Demonstrated minimum 2 years related experience in exterior or interior design, construction industry, or hospitality industry. • Project coordination, scheduling, scoping, estimating, budgeting experience preferred. • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, Salesforce & Smartsheet. • Ability to read construction plans, CAD drawings and elevations. • Ability to review property photos and determine design scope. • Ability to work in fast paced environment. • Excellent organization and prioritization skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Strong negotiation and marketing skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanour. • Accountability/Leadership/Knowledge/Relationship Management/Problem Solving • Works under general supervision and exercises some independent discretion/judgment
