About this role

About the position The Interior Design Operations Manager will oversee and streamline communication processes, ensure quality control, and manage design production across internal project teams. Additionally, this role will support the Executive Director of Interior Design in executing ongoing initiatives. The Interior Design Operations Manager will also be responsible for coordinating and facilitating workflow among Elite, Nexus, and Atelier interior design teams. Responsibilities • Communicate and coordinate with Elite, Nexus, and Atelier to ensure alignment and standardization of internal operations, processes, and procedures related to interior design. , • Develop, implement, and oversee standardized operational processes, procedures, and communications for interior design, ensuring consistency across teams and departments. , • Lead meetings and presentations to share key insights, lessons learned, and innovative solutions, fostering collaboration and adherence to standardized interior design processes. , • Uphold and integrate Blue Heron’s interior design standards for interior drawings while supporting the development and documentation of best practices. , • Manage and maintain SharePoint for interior design documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of updates. , • Oversee the accurate input of interior design selections into purchasing software to streamline procurement processes. , • Serve as the primary mentor for the professional growth and development of Interior Design Coordinators and Quality Control Coordinators. , • Promote and encourage the alignment with Blue Heron Core Values, Policies, Philosophies, Processes, and Methodologies. , • Attend as necessary: Internal Review and Collaboration Meetings, Special Purpose, Vendor, and Company Meetings. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design. , • Requires 7+ years of related experience. , • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable. , • High level of professionalism, effective communicator, and problem solver. , • Ability to comprehend all documentation related to the design process, including interior finishes and specifications, interior design drawings, construction drawings, floor plans, finish schedules, and appendices. , • Understanding of construction process, finishes installation, and terminology. , • Ability to self-manage, meet timelines, complete tasks, and work on multiple projects at one time with accuracy and detail. , • Exceptional cross-functional collaborative attitude and drive to deliver effective results. , • Ability to provide direction, meet timelines, complete tasks, and work on multiple projects at one time with accuracy and detail. , • Routine use of software including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and SketchUp. , • Entry-level knowledge of Revit.
