The Design Intern will work with our two Design Coordinators in our state-of-the-art Design Studio. They will gain firsthand knowledge of assisting new home buyers through the interior design process from beginning to end. This includes but is not limited to assisting in scheduling design appts, assisting designers while making interior selections for multi-family and single-family homes, setting up presentation areas and sending out final design packages. You will acquire knowledge of flooring, cabinet, and electrical layouts and be exposed to our construction and sales processes. In addition to the duties stated below, we expose our interns to many other aspects of the homebuilding business and provide meetings on personal and professional development by Dave Robertson. Good communication skills Detail Oriented Organized Knowledgeable in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point Shadow Designers during appts to learn about design position Set up for homeowner design appts Put selections away after design appts Take photos of homeowner selections and upload to e-files Assist with supplemental documentation Assist with incoming/outgoing samples and displays Assist with sample updates Assist with maintenance of Design Studio Portfolio’s Currently enrolled in an Interior Design Program at a local college Pay $20/Hour Job Types: Full-time, Internship Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • What college are you enrolled in for Interior Design ?
