Interior Design Faculty Position

Job Title: Academic Instructor - Interior Design Description The institution is seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to teach interior design courses. The ideal candidate will possess current knowledge of the industry, excellent communication skills, and a degree in interior design or a related field. Responsibilities and Duties • Teach interior design courses in accordance with established course outlines. • Maintain expertise in current teaching methods, discipline knowledge, and technology. • Assist students in achieving learning objectives, evaluate student progress, and provide support as needed. • Participate in curriculum review, modification, and assessment to ensure program success. • Collaborate with other faculty members on course development and instructional materials. • Complete reporting procedures for student evaluation, course reporting, and budget development. • Attend departmental, divisional, and campus-wide events as required. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field and two years of professional experience OR an Associate's degree in interior design or a related field and six years of professional experience. • Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic backgrounds, socioeconomic status, cultural diversity, disability, and ethnic background of community college students.
