About this role
Class Description
The purpose of this class is to assist the Interior Design
Coordinator in the maintenance of interior design spaces,
maintaining material resources library, and with the preparation of
course materials.
Minimum Requirements
1. High school diploma/GED and one year of experience in a position
assisting customers required or actively pursuing a degree in an
art-related field.
2. One year experience in Interior Design, Architecture or related
field is preferred.
3. A.A.S. or A.A. in interior design, architecture, or related
degree is preferred.
4. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
containing five or less moving violation points on the driving
record and the ability to travel between the Catonsville, Dundalk
and Essex campuses.
5. The ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to chest height.
6. Daytime availability with flexible hours.
Class Specific Essential Duties
• Maintain Interior Design Resource Material Library and Interior
Design Studio spaces.
• Categorize, organize, and store textile memos and interior
finish material samples.
• Receive new memos and material donations.
• Maintain tools and supplies, such as paper cutters, drafting
tools, cutting mats, scissors, markers, colored pencils, trace
paper, sketch paper, bond paper, vellum paper, hand tools,
etc.
• Perform general cleaning of interior design studio, classroom,
workspaces, and material library.
• Perform user maintenance for equipment in interior design
spaces.
• Perform user maintenance for interior design printers and
plotters. Load paper, change paper types, replace ink cartridges,
assist faculty with printing issues.
• Perform user maintenance for drafting light boxes. Ensure light
boxes are recharged after each use.
• Change bulbs and perform user maintenance for the light
booth.
• Tutor interior design students by appointment and through
Interior Design Open Studio.
• Assist faculty by performing administrative tasks, preparing
class materials as instructed, printing class materials, etc.
• Create handouts or informational flyers as instructed.

employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw
tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth
403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors:
TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part
Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for
retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may
contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)
post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined
for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
• Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYA
Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization
form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human
Resources Forms.
Parking
Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public
Safety to use on all campuses.

employees including credit and non-credit adjunct faculty,
