Interior Design Assistant

At Eclectic Home we believe good design is curated, crafted and custom to each individual client. We are seeking a talented and passionate interior design assistant to join our growing team. As a design assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the design team in all stages of the design process, from research and concept development to procurement and delivery. Coordinating with contractors and vendors, site visits, and assisting with installation of completed designs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in design, strong rendering skills, and be eager to learn and grow professionally. Duties and responsibilities; • Assist the design team in all stages of the design process, from concept development to final production • Create design concepts, layouts, build 3D modeling and collaborate with team members • Prepare mood boards, sketches, and illustrations to communicate design concepts • Assist with material sourcing, checking stock, pricing, lead times and maintaining up to date knowledge of suppliers • Procurement, tracking, and receiving of all approved design elements of the project • Management of all design development activities, including scheduling, specified materials, swatches and samples • Attend site visits with senior designers for initial meetings, site measurements, progress updates, deliveries and trade appointments • Professionally communicate with clients, vendors, fabricators, and contractors • Client and sales support for showroom customers Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture • 1-3 years’ experience • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) • Excellent oral and written skills with superior follow-through • Highly adaptable, resourceful, organized, with strong problem solving skills • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently If you are a creative individual with a passion for interior design and a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.
