• *Job Title: Interior Design Assistant / Interior Designer** • *Job Type:** Freelance to work towards On-Staff, flexible work schedule • *Location:** Kirkland and Seattle • *About Us:** Our boutique-slash-showroom is a unique blend of our Kirkland and Seattle locations, where we specialize in luxury products for women and men , bridal and evening couture, and custom commission projects for clients. Our Seattle location has been a landmark for over twenty years, and we are excited to be opening a new, larger showroom in Kirkland near Lake Washington soon. We are seeking someone to help us bring this vision to life. • *Responsibilities:** - Assist the owner with visual merchandising across the studio/showroom/boutique including creating and executing merchandising plans. - Coordinate visual merchandising projects to enhance the store's aesthetic and appeal. - Assist with designing and organizing various office spaces and residential projects. - Provide creative input and support for design concepts that align with the boutique’s brand and vision. - Source materials, furnishings, and decor that align with the project requirements and budget. - Collaborate with other team members and vendors as needed to bring design concepts to life. - Wear multiple hats and enjoy a diverse range of tasks in a dynamic environment. - Understand and excel in customer service, attending to client needs and managing projects efficiently. • *Qualifications:** - Experience in interior design, architecture, visual merchandising, or a related design field. - Strong sense of style and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. - Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. - Flexibility to adapt to the boutique’s evolving needs and embrace a variety of responsibilities. - Lots of work with overseas vendors so ability to speak multiple languages is a plus but not a requirement. • *How to Apply:** Please submit your resume, portfolio, and a brief cover letter detailing your experience and why you’re interested in this role.
