Interior Design Assistant/Sales Associate

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING... We are seeking a creative and VERY detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist our interior designers with various tasks related to project management, client communication, and sales support. You will also have the opportunity to build your own client base and earn commission. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist Interior Designers: Collaborate with interior designers and industry professionals to develop design concepts, select materials, and create presentations for clients. 2. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide excellent customer service throughout the design process. 3. Project Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects. Track project timelines and deliverables. 4. Sales Support: Assist with sales efforts by preparing quotes, following up with leads, and providing product recommendations to clients. 5. Product Research: Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and furnishings in the interior design industry. Research products and suppliers to source materials for projects. 6. Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining project files, and updating client databases. 7. Showroom Maintenance: Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing. Arrange furniture and accessories to create inspiring displays. 8. Assist with Installations: Assist with on-site installations and styling to ensure that design concepts are executed according to plan. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred). • Previous experience in interior design, sales, or customer service. • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design. • Knowledge of furniture, fabrics, and materials used in interior design. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. • Knowledge of Quickbooks helpful. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques • Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, warehouse and office • Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing • Georgia Driver’s License required • Must live within the Perimeter of Atlanta, and have the ability to travel locally and out-of-state We look forward to hearing from you
