Interior Design Assistant

We are looking for an artful Junior designer to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the Principal and owner to managing and executing the design. Responsibilities • Assisting to develop design concepts • Assist in furniture and accessory selections • Jobsite visits, site surveys, and installer supervision • Creating floor plans & elevations using AutoCAD • Researching & sourcing items such as furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, etc. • Communicating with vendors for quotes & product specifications • Handle returns and purchases • Tracking orders & coordinating deliveries • Maintaining sample library organized Skills • Bachelor’s, Associate’s Degree or working on one (preferred) • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft office, Photoshop, InDesign & SKETCH-UP! • Excellent presentation and organizational skills • Knowledge of interior finishes and materials • Knowledge of soft furnishings; furniture, window treatments, area rugs, art, lighting and accessories • Knowledge of residential and commercial showrooms and product lines • Excellent presentation and communication skills • Highly organized, detail oriented, professional and thoughtful. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and remain flexible in a fast paced environment. • Ability to generate your own ideas through sketching and imagery. • Experience in being part of a collaborative design environment. • Has reliable transportation • Bilingual preferred If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this position, please submit or email your resume and work samples with "_ Interior Designer Assistant_ " in the subject line.
