About this role

Beck and Engle is looking for a self-motivated, driven design assistant to join our team! Our firm is based out of Park City, Utah. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a high-end design firm. Beck & Engle offers a compensation package including health insurance and paid time off after one year of employment. Milage driven on behalf of Beck and Engle will be reimbursed. Duties May Include (some or all of the following): Sample Library: Organize and update information and price lists including filing and returning samples, maintaining electronic library, data base and physical samplesConducts research for materials, furniture and photographic images, through hardcopy and on-line website searches.Download and edit images and files from websites, catalogs and websites for use in Revit, Photoshop, or InDesign.Administrative duties: organizing client files, packaging and mailing samples/correspondence.Vendor communication: telephone and face to face meetings with sales representatives or showrooms, researching, pricing furniture and fabrics, spec sheets, stock checks, etc.Creating furniture proposalsAssist with errands: Pick-up/deliver between various locations and B&E office (e.g. picking up samples).Work effectively in a team setting while handling personal workloadRequired Skills/Experience Design degree or currently enrolled college student working toward obtaining a degree in Interior DesignMin. 1 year of drafting/architecture experience, experience in the residential construction industry with knowledge in Interior DesignMust have an interest in a career in Interior DesignStrong conceptual, communication and organizational skillsGeneral knowledge of current furniture vendors, material and building finish productsRelevant residential drafting experienceExperience in AutoCad or Cheif Architect.
