Interior Design Assistant

Studio 882 Furniture + Design is looking for an Interior Design Assistant / Retail Specialist to join our fast-paced residential interior design team. This assistant will work both independently and collaboratively with the Studio 882 design, logistics and management teams to support client design projects and other high-value product, marketing and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Studio 882 is a leading high-end interior design firm with a 15,000 sq. ft. furniture showroom in Glen Mills, PA. Our assistants participate in all aspects of our creative process and gain relevant, hands-on experience working as part of a design team and with clients. Responsibilities The Interior Design Assistant will help to: Attend client in-home meetings and site surveys with design teamSource products, fabrics and finishes for design projectsDevelop design concepts and client presentation materialsUtilize software to create and recommend interior floor plans and layoutsAttend client presentations with Studio 882 designersPrice products and build sales orders for both retail customers and design projectsAssist with post-sale order managementAssist with social media and new branding/product launch effortsHelp visually merchandise and design showroom vignettesWork with retail customers in the Studio 882 showroom to assist with in store design as it pertains to item selectionWillingness to work weekends in the Studio 882 showroom (at least one weekend day per week) Qualifications The Interior Design Assistant should possess the following: Currently possess or be pursuing an interior design, architecture or related degreeAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and must be detail orientedClear and effective written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentExceptional organization skills and the ability to multi-task
