About this role
Eastside Builders Group is growing, and we’re looking for a highly organized, design-driven Interior Design Assistant our Design Director to join our design team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative and technical environments, enjoys working in a fast-paced design-build setting, and is looking to grow into a full Interior Designer or Executive Assistant position.
This is not a purely administrative role, you will be contributing to real design work, drawings, finish selections, presentations, jobsite visits, and client projects.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in developing mood boards, finish palettes, and conceptual design presentations
• Support Design Director in space planning, FF&E selection, cabinetry design, and fixture sourcing
• Help prepare drawing sets, renderings, and design documentation (SketchUp, Rayon, D5 beneficial)
• Assist with physical and digital sample organization, returns, and vendor coordination
• Attend showroom appointments, site visits, trade meetings, and client presentations
• Track lead times, availability, pricing, and spec changes to support procurement
• Maintain internal design standards, templates, and file organization systems

Required Skills
• 1–3+ years experience in interior design or design-build preferred
• Working knowledge of design software (Chief Architect, SketchUp, Adobe, or similar)
• Familiarity with construction drawings, timelines, and material specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Valid driver’s license for client + vendor travel
Bonus Skills
• Rendering experience
• Cabinetry knowledge, millwork terminology, or remodel experience
• Social content support (optional, not required)
