Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an Interior Design and Closet Planning Coordinator for our Cincinnati office
Summary
The Interior Design & Closet Planning Coordinator is a key member of the Single-Family Marketing team, responsible for designing elegant, functional closet systems that enhance the beauty and organization of residential spaces. This role is ideal for interior design professionals who are passionate about space planning, home organization, and collaborating with builders, general contractors, and dealers to bring thoughtful storage solutions to life. The ideal candidate combines creativity with technical skill and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Closet & Interior Space Design
• Create custom closet layouts that reflect both aesthetic and functional goals.
• Apply interior design principles to develop cohesive, stylish storage solutions that complement overall home design.
• Recommend finishes, materials, and configurations that align with current design trends and client preferences.
Floor Plan Integration
• Interpret builder-provided floor plans to incorporate closet systems seamlessly into home layouts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs align with product capabilities and marketing strategies.
Builder & Dealer Collaboration
• Serve as a design liaison for builders, general contractors, and dealers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
• Provide expert guidance on product selection, layout optimization, and installation support.
• Participate and facilitate in builder meetings and design reviews
External Relations & Builder Engagement
• Collaborate with builders to understand their design needs and provide expert guidance on closet layouts, materials, and finishes.
• Launch and maintain the Closet Selector Program for Single Family Builders, ensuring alignment with homebuyer preferences and builder branding.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for builder sales and design teams on Closet Selector tools and processes.
• Maintain strong builder relationships through regular follow-ups, ensuring satisfaction and up-to-date floor plans and support materials.
• Develop and distribute marketing content to promote closet upgrades and increase builder sales.
• Represent Organized Living at tradeshows and industry events to support the Single Family market and generate new business.
• Coordinate Design Center and Model Home Programs, ensuring displays and marketing materials are delivered and installed effectively.
Process & Innovation
• Contribute to the development and refinement of design standards and best practices.
• Stay current on interior design trends, storage innovations, and customer preferences.
• Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams to enhance offerings.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2+ years in interior design, space planning, or a related role in the home design or construction industry.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Bid360, CAD, SketchUp) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong visual and spatial design skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Highly organized with a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces.
