Interior Decorator

Job Overview We are a 104 year old company in Plainfield, New Jersey, searching for individuals who are interior decorators or designers. We are searching for individuals who can sell custom design wood furniture, and deal with clients in designing their homes with our products. Having a portfolio of pictures would be preferred. We have a shop and work available. We are looking to add a few people, who will work together. If you are experienced in interior designing, we would gladly like to hear from you. Duties • Consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects. • Develop design concepts and present them to clients using sketches, mood boards, or digital renderings. • Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, colors, and lighting that align with the client's vision. • Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process. • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in interior design. Skills • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers. • Ability to build strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service. • Knowledge of lighting sales and the ability to recommend appropriate lighting solutions for various spaces. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during the design process. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week Schedule: • 10 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Ability to Relocate: • Plainfield, NJ 07062: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
