Role and Responsibilities: As a Home Kitchen Design Expert at The Home Depot, you will transform customer visions into functional and stylish kitchen and bathroom designs. You will deliver personalized design experiences that meet client goals while enhancing their home environment. • Consult with customers to understand their kitchen and bathroom design objectives. • Showcase product options in “good, better, best” categories and provide sample takeaways. • Guide clients through the design process, advising on products, services, and installation approaches. • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom to create a welcoming shopping atmosphere. • Promote current promotions, financing options, and Home Depot’s unique advantages. • Follow up with clients to monitor project progress and respond to questions during design and installation. • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Required Skills and Experience: • Experience in kitchen, interior, or related design disciplines. • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer engagement. • Proficiency with design software such as 20/20 Design, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools. • Problem-solving abilities to address diverse customer needs effectively. • High attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple design projects concurrently. • Ability to clearly communicate complex design concepts and product features to clients. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in retail or customer service environments. • Familiarity with home improvement products and installation techniques. • Knowledge of 3D design software for kitchen and bathroom planning. • Certification in kitchen or interior design (e.g., NKBA, CKD). • Proven track record of managing design projects from concept to completion.
