We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Head of Interior Design to lead our dynamic team and major client projects! Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and teams across our organization (and internationally) to streamline effective project plans. Ideal candidates will possess: • Experience in Architectural Design and Food Service Design • Proven leadership capabilities • Extensive project management experience in fast-paced settings Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 yearly Key Responsibilities: • Business Development, Proposals & Design Operations • Identify opportunities to integrate interior design services in incoming leads and ongoing projects. • Promote interior design offerings for both new and existing clients, including refresh initiatives. • Launch local campaigns to generate new design opportunities. • Stay ahead of industry trends by attending trade shows and conferences. • Define project scope and create compelling design proposals. • Oversee FF&E proposals using internal pricing systems. • Monitor project status, including scheduling and installation from a design perspective. • Manage design contract billing linked to project milestones. • Collaborate with Administrative and Procurement teams on proposal development and vendor coordination. • Design Presentation & Documentation • Manage schedules and deliverables for all projects. • Prioritize multiple projects and adjust resources as needed. • Lead client presentations, involving team members to enhance storytelling. • Delegate preparation of presentation materials for client meetings. • Gather client feedback and guide design revisions during early concept phases. • Ensure design parameters and expectations are clearly communicated for each project. • Represent design needs in daily stand-up meetings and request resources as needed. • Conduct quality control to maintain design standards and documentation. • Ensure meeting minutes are recorded and distributed accurately. • Work closely with Project Managers on project timelines and deliverables. • Collaborate with the Branding Department to align brand elements with design. • Design Team Leadership & Management • Lead the Interior Design Team, providing guidance and support. • Conduct weekly meetings to review workload and priorities. • Manage team performance, providing coaching and setting expectations. • Address issues with leadership when necessary. • Conduct quarterly performance reviews through an established process. • Ensure team members accurately track project hours. • Current team structure includes Senior Interior Designers and Interior Designers. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field. • 8+ years of professional interior design experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects from concept to installation. • Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership and successful client presentations. • Solid understanding of design documentation and construction coordination. • Experience in managing and developing design teams. • Proficiency in client-facing roles, presenting concepts, and engaging with stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. • Proficiency with design software (e.g., Revit/AutoCAD, Creative Suites). • Familiarity with branding integration and experiential design is preferred.
