About this role

JOB SUMMARY: The primary goal of the Furniture Designer is to support Account Executives and the interest of both Creative Business Interiors and our clients through the management of all details related to the sale of business furniture and accessories. The Furniture Designer works as a key team member on winning new accounts and maintaining long-term client relationships. The Furniture Designer works closely with the Client, Account Executive, Designer, and Vendors to meet the project budget, cultural image, and functional goals of the organization under guidance from the Director of Design Services. They coordinate the drawing, specification, delivery and installation of contract furnishings which has a large impact on the project and the client’s overall satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Take detailed field measurements and physical inventory of client’s existing spaces and products. • Consult with the Interior Designer and Account Executive on project requirements. • Utilize drawings and commercial furniture product knowledge to prepare all specifications, electronic drawings, and visualizations of their solution. • Present and interact with client and assist the Account Executive in the sale of the solution. • Prepare order-ready documents and installation drawings for Furniture Coordinators and Field Staff professionals. • Expedite punchlist with the assistance of Furniture Coordinator. • Review and update workload weekly and accounting reporting monthly. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (preferred), or Associate’s degree with actual field work experience may be considered. • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in contract furniture. • Experience working in CAP Studio and CET. • Allied ASID or Associate IIDA member is a plus.
