Job Description – Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic Metropolitan Cabinet –
Norwood, MA For over 34 years, Metropolitan has been serving developers,

manufactured or fabricated at our factory in Norwood, Massachusetts. This

and adjust to the schedules. We also represent several other major U.S.
cabinet manufacturers and provide HUD and HUD Severe Use products. We maintain
four showrooms conveniently located in Norwood, Watertown, Natick and
Wakefield. Specialties: Kitchen Cabinetry, Stone Countertops and Decor,
Interior Design, Cabinet Manufacturing Be a part of this proven fast growing
company in the Greater Boston area. Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops has an
immediate need for a full-time Entry-level maintenance mechanic. This position
is located at our Norwood Factory/Showroom and requires some travel to our in
Natick, Wakefield and Watertown MA locations. The role of the maintenance
mechanic at Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops is to ensure a safe, clean and
orderly building environment while maintaining a high level of equipment
uptime. Responsibilities Include • Upkeep of building exterior & interior •
Building maintenance such as but not limited to painting, plumbing & welding •
Janitorial work (day to day cleaning performed by others) • Basic maintenance
and repair of HVAC units, compressors and other small and large equipment and
hand tools. • Preventive Maintenance and basic repair of all Milling machinery
• Working daily with hands-on maintenance manager Metropolitan Cabinet offers
a well-stocked, well equipped maintenance shop Extensive training provided by
working with highly qualified maintenance personnel Training for forklift
safety and operation Qualifications • Valid MA driver’s license • Well
organized with ability to juggle multiple tasks • Good communication skills,
Spanish language is a plus • Highly motivated self-starter • Willingness to
learn new processes and equipment • Mechanical/electrical background is a plus
• Knowledge of Electrical (AC/DC), pneumatic schematics, and components is a
plus
