About this role
The Designer & Project Manager will work on key client accounts and projects and is responsible for the design and execution of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects by the company. This position will work directly with the principal and studio team to execute flawless projects from inception through completion. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Design and execute clear coordinated interior design projects, from concept design through installation. • Own project responsibilities include being the key point of contact for all clients, contractor and architect communication; creation and execution of design presentations and materials; invoice and budget management; creating and updating production documents; overseeing installation and project close out. • Strong knowledge of the construction and design process from concept to installation. • Proven ability to produce, review, and annotate construction plans and shop drawings. • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Rhino or SketchUp, Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, and Slides; knowledge of rendering software a plus. • Experience and passion for drawing custom millwork, furniture, and lighting. • Seek out new production partners, workrooms, and specialized artisans to create and collaborate on custom furniture and installations. • Oversee vendors and conduct quality control and workroom visits when necessary. • Lead on-site installations. • Foster and create extensive industry contacts with workrooms, showrooms, and vendors.
