Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Cabinet Designer to join our team. The Cabinet Designer will be responsible for designing custom cabinetry for residential or commercial projects. Including: kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and built-in storage. This role requires strong design skills, technical knowledge of cabinetry construction, and the ability to collaborate with clients, contractors, and production teams to bring projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
· Meet with clients to discuss design needs, project scope, and budgets
· Design custom cabinetry layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and built-ins
· Create detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D renderings using design software
· Take or verify site measurements
· Recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware
· Collaborate with project managers, installers, and contractors
· Revise designs based on client feedback and field conditions
· Prepare material lists, cost estimates, and design documentation
· Ensure designs comply with building codes and industry standards
Required Qualifications
· Experience in cabinet design, kitchen design, interior design, or millwork
· Proficiency with design software such as 2020 Design and Pro Kitchen
· Ability to utilize design program to create designs, renderings and cabinet pricing
· Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and materials
· Strong space planning and layout skills
· Excellent communication and client service skills
· Reliable, attention to detail, organized, and able to hit deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with custom cabinetry manufacturers or kitchen design
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and installation practices
· Experience preparing quotes and project estimates
· Portfolio of completed cabinetry design projects
Work Environment
· Combination of office/design work and occasional job-site visits
· Collaboration with sales teams, installers, and production staff
· Fast-paced environment with multiple active projects
