Designer III

We are seeking a Designer III to join our expanding team of collaborative designers. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, self-motivated, creative, and have a positive attitude. We expect candidates to hit the ground running, with the ability to manage a wide range of projects simultaneously. The Designer III is responsible for project design from concept to completion with minimal oversight from the Senior Designer. They interpret designs and drive concepts towards tangible solutions, create space plans and other design-related documents, and utilize Sketchup and Enscape for design work. They understand client requirements and ensure that the design meets their needs. The Designer III also coordinates with external consultants, reviews the work of the project team, manages and trains junior designers, and prioritizes tasks using an active project tracker. They are flexible, self-motivated, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. DESIGN EXECUTION Responsible for project design from concept to completion with minimal oversight from Senior Designer Ensures that internal deliverables and approvals are aligned with project schedule as set by Design Manager and Senior Designer Reviews all work of project team members (Designer II, Designer I, Design Assistant, and Intern) Under direction from Visionary and Senior Designer, ability to interpret designs and drive concepts towards tangible solutions. Under direction from Senior Designer, creates space plans, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design High level of design completed utilizing Sketchup and Enscape. Understanding of client program requirements and constraints with the ability to interpret into design solutions. Ensures project design will meet the clients needs prior to presentation. Understands client expectations and program in such a way that any conflicts within the design will be brought to the attention of the Senior Designer. Coordinates and reviews with outside consultants in regards to renderings, modeling, and prototypes. Able to present internally and to clients for discussion. Exhibits live problem solving as needed during these discussions. Leads internal project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction as needed during life of project period MANAGEMENT & TRAINING Ability to align with Studio K design process Ability to align with the Studio K documentation standards Ability prioritize tasks utilizing active project tracker Ability to successfully delegate project team tasks to ensure design deliverables align with schedule. Informs senior management of current project needs and timelines Ability to train Designer II, Designer I, and Design Assistants.
