About this role

Position Overview The Design Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting our Kitchen and Bathroom Designers throughout all phases of the design process. This position ensures designers have the resources, information, and administrative support required to deliver exceptional client experiences and innovative design solutions. The specialist acts as a bridge between designers, clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate project success. Key Responsibilities · Design Documentation: Prepare, organize, and maintain project files, drawings, and specifications. Ensure all design documents are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to the design team. · Product Research and Sourcing: Assist designers by researching materials, fixtures, appliances, and finishes. Create comparison charts, gather pricing, and check product availability from vendors. · Client Communication Support: Draft client communications, schedule meetings, and help prepare presentations. Address basic client inquiries and relay messages to designers as needed. · Project Coordination: Track project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables. Help coordinate with contractors, installers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. · Sample and Showroom Management: Organize and maintain material samples, catalogs, and showroom displays. Order samples and arrange for delivery to clients or designers. · Administrative Support: Assist with orders, and budget tracking. Help manage calendars, and other administrative tasks. · Technical Assistance: Aid in the preparation of CAD drawings, 3D renderings, and layouts under designer supervision. Make minor revisions as requested. · Quality Control: Review design documents for accuracy and completeness before submission to clients or contractors. · This role will aid in the creation and maintenance of our existing conditions, mood boards, presentation prep, renderings, & permit drop off/ pick up. Required Skills and Qualifications · Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required · Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite. · Strong organizational and time management skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. · Attention to detail and commitment to quality. · Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. · Experience in kitchen and/or bathroom design support is a plus. · Professional demeanor and customer service orientation. · This position is an entry-level role that could advance to a Kitchen and Bathroom Designer.
