About this role
Duties and responsibilities
Collaborate with clients, vendors and architects to establish and develop design concepts, focusing on space planning, budget alignment and finishes.
Source and specify materials and finishes that align with aesthetic goals, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
Technical Coordination: Review architectural and construction plans to ensure compatibility of finishes and furniture configurations with design intent, providing detailed documentation when necessary.
Project Management: Create budgets for projects and oversee the finish selection process from concept to completion, managing timelines, approvals, and change requests effectively.
Client Interaction: Lead design presentations, guide clients through furnishing and material selections, and provide expert advice to achieve their vision.
Vendor Collaboration: Work with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain samples, pricing, and technical information for projects.
On-Site Support: Conduct site visits along with other team members to ensure the accurate implementation of design specifications and address challenges with the construction or installation team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field
3+ years of experience specializing in interiors, furniture, FF&E and/or materials + finishes
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
A keen eye for detail and a passion for innovative design

Work Environment
Based primarily in an office, on-site at clients, and/or vendor showrooms
Location is primarily in the Stamford office, with time in the Manhattan office and/or working offsite based on schedules
An open desk environment to encourage creativity and teamwork, paired with private meeting rooms for virtual calls or smaller group meetings when privacy and focus are needed
