Position Information Position Title: Interior Design Adjunct Instructor Requisition Number: A00092P Job Summary/Objective The successful candidate will teach undergraduate students in the field of interior design, manage class syllabus, and ensure it meets program, accreditation, department, and university standards. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lectures, leading in-class discussions and assignments, grading student work, assessing grades based on participation and performance, collaborating with colleagues on course curriculum, participating in program activities and events, and engaging in ongoing continuing education in the field of interior design. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited four-year program and a minimum of 2 years' professional and/or teaching experience are required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Fine Arts, or Education, as well as NCIDQ certification or ongoing pursuit of professional certification. Key Accountabilities - Teach undergraduate students in the field of interior design and manage the class syllabus to ensure alignment with program, accreditation, department, and university standards. - Plan and deliver lectures, lead in-class discussions and assignments, grade student work, assess grades based on participation and performance, and collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum. - Participate in program activities, events, and accreditation processes, and engage in ongoing continuing education in the field of interior design.
