Job Summary of Design Coordinator:
Floor & Decor Design Coordinator delivers a personalized design service that emphasizes the importance of building lasting connections and loyalty among their clientele. Through collaborative interactions with customers, attentive listening to their project needs, education on essential project aspects, and the crafting of an imaginative design concept that integrates the client's distinctive style, daily routine, and financial resources, they aim to create a memorable design experience.
Requirements of Design Coordinator:
• Candidates must possess at least one year of interior design experience or prior experience in retail/sales
• Having a qualification in Design adds value
• Having knowledge about hard floor materials is a bonus
• Excellent in rudimentary math proficiency
• Being motivated from within and possessing the skill to manage multiple tasks in a quickly changing scenario is crucial
• Strong aptitude in spoken, written, and interpersonal communication
• Foundational comprehension of computing systems, particularly in operating the Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates should have completed 12 months of work in a design consultant capacity
Responsibilities of Design Coordinator:
• Offer support to store patrons in a helpful manner and address their needs regarding design and layout preferences
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store
• Offering advice and suggestions on tiles, wood options, stone varieties, and additional accessories to support homeowners, interior designers, and contractors in their residential or commercial endeavors.
• Develop and advertise all-inclusive, operational, and visually pleasing packages
• Skillfully manage several customer projects concurrently, upholding high levels of precision, timeliness, and thorough follow-up throughout the process, and maintaining consistent and succinct communication with customers and other individuals involved. Competent and regular utilization of company communication tools and email platforms is a mandatory requirement
• Engage in productive communication and teamwork with store management and staff to manage projects seamlessly, progressing from inquiry stages to successful installation while meeting sales objectives
• Demonstrate wholehearted support for every business endeavor and targets through teaching and embodying superior methods to team members
• Participate in the contemporary and developing design trends within your sector
• Required to have knowledge and proficiency in design applications such as Salesforce, specialized Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject
• Execute supplementary duties as designated
Working Conditions of Design Coordinator:
• Limited travel may be required by car
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
Physical/Sensory Requirements of Design Coordinator:
Medium Work Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
