Requirements of Design Associate:
• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
• Degree in Design is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
Responsibilities of Design Associate:
• Welcome shoppers with proactive assistance and cater to their requirements in-store design consultations
• Arrange appointments for current and prospective clients to discuss design options and cultivate a customer base by networking, seeking referrals, and following up on in-store leads
• Offering guidance on tiles, wood, stone, and accompanying items to individuals in need such as homeowners, interior decorators, and construction professionals for a variety of projects, including residential and commercial spaces.
• Create and market comprehensive, fully operational, and visually pleasing products
• Coordinate numerous customer projects concurrently with precision, timeliness, and thorough follow-up, maintaining clear and frequent communication with clients and other stakeholders. Employing company communication resources and email platforms effectively and consistently is vital for this role
• Work with store managers and staff to coordinate and communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final installation, in order to meet sales targets and accomplish other objectives
• Lead by example and provide guidance to store employees to actively endorse and uphold company objectives and ventures
• Stay involved with the latest and upcoming design trends in your industry
• In charge of comprehending and making use of design software like Salesforce, exclusive Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject
• Fulfill additional tasks as required
