Design Assistants play an integral role in supporting key phases of a design project's lifecycle in collaboration and partnership with the design consultant . They are professionals with a passion for building and maintaining relationships.
Purpose: Design Administrative Assistants at Viridien provide essential support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the store, focusing on exceptional customer service and streamlined administrative tasks. The Administrative Assistant will handle a variety of responsibilities including answering phones, greeting customers, managing merchandise logistics, maintaining showroom appearance, and supporting administrative needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide a luxury experience for clients in store and through At Home Design services
Qualify and educate potential design clientele on products and services offered
Provide support with all phases of the design process, including: consultations, site visits, design development, presentations and delivery
Assist in producing presentations; communicating design concepts, space planning and product selections
Provide product expertise and elevated client service
Represent the Viridien lifestyle through polished communication, personal appearance and professionalism
Maintain a strong interest in the luxury and design industry
Support the visual and quality standards within the showroom, tagging, pricing and signage
Manage phone calls, direct inquiries, and monitor voicemail messages.
Coordinate merchandise pick-ups, warranty claims, deliveries, and customer communications
Handle administrative tasks including bank deposits, ordering supplies, sending thank you cards, and updating sales aids such as catalogs and price lists.
Maintain accuracy of closing paperwork and financial reconciliations.
Assist with store sale preparation, including pricing updates and promotional setups.
Skills/Qualifications:
Art, Interior Design education preferred
Experience within furniture and luxury retail preferred
People and relationship driven
Strategic and mental agility
Highly organized
Collaborative
Results-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Mac Operating System, IOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google Applications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or other related space planning/rendering programs preferred
Strong artistic skills
Availability to work a variable schedule of at least 40 hours per week, including holidays and weekends as needed required
Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements:
Licensed to drive preferred
Ability to travel locally or out of state
Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items, up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, warehouse, and office

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
