Design Assistant

Affinity Kitchens provides cabinetry to the luxury market in Scottsdale, Tucson and surrounding areas. We enrich home life through exceptional cabinetry design and craftsmanship. We are looking for a professional and passionate design assistant for our Scottsdale Showroom. This person will learn under the wing of our experienced designers, working hands-on with drawings, pricing, meetings and... organization with the goal of eventually transitioning to an independent design/sales role. You will enjoy working on our team if you embrace our core values: Kindness (a grateful spirit, a positive attitude, respect for others) Team Player (dependable, doing the right thing, being helpful) Self-Starter (motivated, can-do attitude, good work ethic) Problem Solver (creative, solutions driven) Expertise (professional, detail oriented, someone who “gets it”) This position is responsible for: Setting up and preparing for client meetings Managing client documents and organizing/tracking project details Generating renderings and CAD drawings Ordering samples/color chips Generating pricing Job site visits Communicating with clients, contractors, vendors and industry partners Additional responsibilities will depend on experience You will thrive in this position if you have: Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience with Chief Architect, CAD or other drafting and design programs Creativity and passion for design Strong problem solving skills Ability to organize and prioritize complex and simple tasks each day Experience with Excel, Word, PDF editing Background in construction/interior design/related field or training (completed or in-progress design program preferred) This is a full time position which may require evening and weekend hours for showroom/industry events.
