Description
The Interior Designer position supports Decor Direct’s business efforts to deliver a customer experience that is consistent with the Schell brand promise. This position collaborates with homeowners during their home build to create a beautiful interior that is ready to be installed by their Settlement Date.
Our team are experts in design principals and sales, as well as customer service, follow-up and bringing the clients’ vision to life. Our designers are salespeople and are specially trained and highly knowledgeable.
We're searching for someone motivated and driven, with residential design education, training & experience. This individual will be responsible for working directly with customers and homeowners through the entire process. Driven, organized and professional individuals who take pride in their work and their clients' satisfaction will be very successful.

Duties/Responsibilities:
? Reaching out to new and past clients in various stage of home ownership to generate recurring sales
? Provide inspiration and when appropriate, look book, of decor selections
? Meet in-person and virtually with new and recurring clients
? Support clients when selection paint, lighting, window treatments and furniture items
? Space planning for furniture based on floorplan
? Pricing of furniture, window treatments and lighting and producing proposals for clients
? Follow up with clients and attend large furniture deliveries for placement of furniture
? Ability to work in fast paced environment and produce high volume of sales
? Adherence to margin expectations
? Attend trade shows as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
? Knowledge of interior design and decorating
? Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
? Salesforce or similar CRM system experience a plus.
? Sales – from nurturing leads to closing sales while managing the entire client sales journey.
? Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
? Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
? Design degree preferred but not necessary.
? Experience in furniture and window treatment sales and pricing.
? Experience in furniture space planning.
? Must be able to collaborate with other Team Members.
? Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual, and honest.
? Ability to prioritize tasks.
? Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
? Devoted, positive attitude and a strong commitment to service.
? Able to work legally in the United States, with a valid, driver’s license, and clean driving record.
? Willing to take a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years of previous Design experience in similar positions.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
