About this role

Position Overview The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for driving sales, managing client relationships, and overseeing the successful execution of furniture projects from concept through installation. This role requires a consultative approach, combining industry knowledge, design awareness, and strong project coordination skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including corporate, healthcare, education, and commercial accountsBuild and maintain long-term relationships to support repeat business and client satisfactionUnderstand client goals, budgets, and project requirements to provide strategic guidanceSales & Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry partnerships, and outreachRespond to RFPs/RFQs and develop compelling proposalsGrow existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities and expanding scope of servicesMeet or exceed assigned sales targetsProject Coordination & Execution Lead projects through all phases, including programming, specification, ordering, and installationCoordinate with internal teams (design, project management, procurement) and external partners (manufacturers, installers, designers)Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completionProduct Specification & Consultation Provide expert guidance on furniture products, materials, and applicationsCollaborate with designers and clients to develop solutions that align with aesthetic, functional, and budgetary goalsStay current on product offerings, industry trends, and manufacturer updatesQuoting & Order Management Prepare accurate and detailed quotes, including revisions and value engineering as neededOversee order placement, tracking, and issue resolutionEnsure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the order processPost-Installation Support Manage punch lists and resolve any post-installation issuesEnsure client satisfaction and maintain relationships for future opportunitiesQualifications 3–10+ years of experience in contract furniture, interior design, or a related industryStrong understanding of furniture systems, finishes, and space planning conceptsProven sales and client management experienceExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM SoftwareKey Competencies Relationship-driven with a consultative sales approachDetail-oriented with strong follow-throughAbility to collaborate across teams and manage competing prioritiesCommercial awareness with a focus on profitability and client value This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment and enjoys managing projects from concept to completion.
