About this role

Cabinetry Product Specialist Job Summary The Cabinetry Product Specialist provides experience and expertise to existing and new clientele within the department to increase sales of products and services. The Product Specialist performs activities associated with client meetings and selections, reading construction plans and elevations, cabinetry layout and design, selling, ordering, and overall project management that requires specialized knowledge of semi-custom and custom cabinetry. Essential Job Functions The Cabinetry Product Specialist will have the ability to complete cabinetry projects from initial client interaction to design, delivery, coordinating installation and final project close-out. Earth Elements will provide coaching and mentoring to the specialist to ensure projects are completed effectively and within standards set by the company. Essential job functions include cabinetry sales, design, and project management which may include, but is not limited to the following. Welcoming and engaging clients to evaluate needs Provide cabinetry product knowledge to customers and colleagues including differing cabinet types, features, options, values and benefits. Assist clientele with design needs based on differing products and applications Read and understand Architectural Plans Create estimates for cabinetry products and installations. Using Computer Programs to include: Outlook, Elements, Bluebeam, 2020 Design, AutoCad, and other programs specific to the department Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current trends, markets, and product lines Following up with customers for A/R Maintain project and prospect communications through regular correspondence with contractors, clientele and owners. Providing clients with excellent customer service at all times Additional Job Functions Participating in Store Opening and Closing procedures Answering phones and directing calls appropriately Ordering and labeling samples Keeping showroom and sample towers organized Performs related duties as required Competencies Computer Aided Drafting and Design Organizational Skills Initiative/Self starter Customer/Client Focus Technical Capacity Results driven Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for new Sales Associates within the department. Work Environment This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Primarily inside in well-lit, well-ventilated areas, but can at times be outside in external environments. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a sedentary role; however, lifting of approximately 25 pounds with occasional lifting of small objects and samples; sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and finger dexterity. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be requested occasionally Travel Travel is primarily local, up to 1 hour driving distance during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, per insurance eligibility requirements. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Design preferred Minimum of 2 years CAD or Cabinetry Design Software experience, required Minimum of 1 year sales experience, required Experience within the building, interior design, or architecture industry preferred Knowledge of semi-custom and custom cabinetry products, preferred Must be proficient in Math and English Clean driving record, able to meet insurability qualifications AAP/EEO Statement Earth Elements, LLC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
