Company Overview: The Bath Design Consultant at The Home Depot plays a vital role in offering expert design guidance and outstanding customer service to help customers create their dream kitchen and bathroom spaces. This position supports The Home Depot’s priorities of Customers First, In Stock, and Store Appearance by providing personalized design consultations, managing showroom presentations, and ensuring product availability. Role and Responsibilities: As a Bath Design Consultant, you will guide customers through the design process, create customized plans, and maintain an engaging showroom environment. • Welcome and greet customers, assessing their kitchen and bath project needs. • Provide showroom tours, explain design options, and educate customers on product features and benefits. • Conduct in-home or in-store measurements and consultations to develop tailored kitchen and bath designs. • Collaborate with customers to create design plans using The Home Depot’s design tools and software. • Recommend products that meet customer project requirements and support sales goals. • Maintain showroom displays by restocking samples, brochures, and keeping areas organized and visually appealing. • Monitor inventory levels of design samples and related materials to support stock management. • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams on special orders and project timelines. • Follow safety guidelines and store policies to ensure a secure shopping environment. Required Skills and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Ability to learn and use design software and tools. • Basic knowledge of kitchen and bath products and design principles. • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in kitchen and bath design or related retail sales. • Proficiency with CAD or other design software. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously. Work Environment: • Primarily works in-store showroom and customer homes for measurements and consultations. • May involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting. • Requires interaction with a diverse customer base.
