Bath and Kitchen Designer

Join our team as a skilled Bath and Kitchen Designer at The Home Depot. About the Role As a Bath and Kitchen Designer, you will be responsible for providing fast, thorough, and friendly service to customers by welcoming them to the store and assessing their kitchen and/or bath project needs. You will also provide showroom tours, set up kitchen and/or bath measures, and meet with customers to review room designs and make purchasing recommendations. Key Responsibilities • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner. • Showroom Experience: Create engaging and informative showroom experiences that showcase products and inspire customers to take action. • Design and Consultation: Collaborate with customers to understand their design goals and preferences, and provide expert advice on product selection and installation. • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of samples and brochures, and restock as necessary to support In Stock initiatives. • Visual Merchandising: Ensure special order displays and showrooms promote a shopping environment that is appealing and safe to support Store Appearance. Requirements • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in interior design, architecture, or related field preferred. • Work Experience: 1+ years of experience in customer-facing role, preferably in retail or design industry. • Skill Set: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Technical Skills: Proficient in design software and technology, including Autodesk, SketchUp, or similar tools.
