Associate Interior Designer, Part-Time

This is an in-person, Part-Time position based in Fenwick Island, Delaware, with a competitive salary that places significant emphasis on commission-based compensation. C&E Furniture Design is an award-winning furniture company and interior design firm based in Fenwick Island, Delaware. We are looking to expand our design team and are hiring an associate interior designer for our furniture showroom. Our design team members are self-directed individuals, extremely detail-oriented sales professionals, and possess a keen design eye along with excellent project management skills. Key Responsibilities: • Sell furniture and design services to clients, including walk-in customers, by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products and solutions. • Work to retain clients for various size projects. • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and preferences. • Develop and present interior design concepts and proposals. • Manage and execute design projects from concept to completion. • Source materials, furniture, and decor items from design vendors. • Utilize design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Canva) to create and present design plans. • Maintain knowledge of current design trends and products. • Provide exceptional customer service in our showroom. Qualifications: • 1-3 years of experience in professional residential interior design. • Experience in retail furniture or high-end retail is a plus. • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Canva preferred. • Skilled in space planning, material sourcing, and client presentations. • Familiarity with design vendors, including furniture, rugs, and lighting. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Strong sales skills with the ability to close sales in both a design and retail environment. Requirements: • Must be local to the Delaware area or willing to relocate. • In-person position with a commitment to working on-site at our showroom.
