Assistant Designer - Home

As an Assistant Designer, you will work closely with our experienced design team to bring our vision to life and provide our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. We are seeking someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of the home decor industry. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and functional home spaces. Stay up-to-date with current design trends and incorporate them into product selection and merchandising. Assist in the development of new product lines and collections. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and areas for improvement. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for product design and marketing strategies. Support the design team in creating mood boards, sketches, and other visual aids to communicate design concepts. Assist with product sourcing, including attending trade shows and visiting vendor showrooms. Review and approve samples for quality and design accuracy. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as buying, marketing, and visual merchandising, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of design plans. Maintain organized and accurate records of product development, including specifications, pricing, and vendor information. Assist in the preparation and presentation of design pitches to senior management. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the overall customer experience in the Home department. Adhere to company brand standards and design guidelines. Mentor and train junior team members as needed. Represent the company and department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
