Assistant Designer - Home

As an Assistant Designer for our Home department, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal. We are seeking a creative and trend-savvy individual who is passionate about design and dedicated to delivering exceptional products to our customers. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of current design trends, and a desire to grow within a dynamic team, we want to hear from you. Collaborate with the Design team to develop new and innovative home decor products that align with current trends and meet the needs of our customers. Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors' offerings to ensure our products are on-trend and competitive. Assist with the creation of design concepts, mood boards, and product sketches. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to bring designs from concept to production. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and other design software to create visually appealing product presentations and mock-ups. Participate in product development meetings and provide valuable input and suggestions for product improvements and enhancements. Conduct quality control checks on samples and products to ensure they meet design specifications and standards. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and negotiate pricing. Support the Design team in maintaining accurate product records and design files. Assist with organizing and maintaining the product showroom and samples. Handle administrative tasks such as creating purchase orders, tracking product samples, and maintaining design schedules. Communicate effectively and efficiently with team members and other departments to ensure smooth and timely product development and delivery. Continuously strive to improve design processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity. Maintain a high level of creativity and attention to detail in all design work.
