Assistant Professor - Interior Architecture and Design
Position Title: Non- Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture & Design Reports • Engage in a program of research and/or creative scholarship, leading to collaborative projects in the program and other University or industry partners. Skills and Experience • Master's degree in an interior-related discipline required (a terminal degree in interior design or closely related field (Ph.D, Master of Interior Design, M.Arch, MFA, MBA, or foreign equivalent) or progress toward a terminal degree is required for a tenure-track appointment; applicants without a terminal degree but with a significant record of professional achievement will be considered for a non-tenure track or professor of practice appointment) • Relevant professional experience in interior design and/or architecture. • Excellent writing, communication, and Microsoft Excel skills required • Exhibits professionalism, integrity and ethics at all times • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups, facilitate group process and foster collaborative decision-making • Outstanding presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact with students, employees, donors, accrediting bodies, partners and alumni • Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working with underrepresented students and students from at-risk backgrounds • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and other industry-standard software.
