Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Work Prep Technician with a strong background in woodworking and cabinet making. The ideal candidate will possess computer proficiency, particularly in AutoCAD and Excel, and have experience with 3-axis CNC programming. However, we are open to training individuals who demonstrate expertise in millwork construction and production workflows. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

We are an established and expanding company who is in the business of manufacturing fine custom furniture and architectural millwork for the high-end interior design industry. This position is responsible for crafting fine woodworking projects to the highest standards. Qualifications • GED, high school diploma or equivalent preferred • 3+ years’ experience in woodworking shop preferred • Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and the ability to pay attention to detail • Good interpersonal skills enabling coordination with job managers • Able to work independently if necessary and to identify and solve problems • Able to expand basic woodworking techniques and construction • Willingness to further train as well as teach in woodworking skills • In-depth understanding of machine tool set up and use • Demonstrate maturity and a humble approach to tackling new skills • Able to work safely and consciously with regard to yourself and fellow workers This position requires the employee to wear all required PPE. • This position is full time (40+ hours), hourly nonexempt • Benefits eligible • Hours of operation are flexible: 7AM – 6PM • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to contaminants • Must be able to wear and use safety equipment regularly such as goggles, masks, gloves, and stops • Are regularly exposed to hazardous conditions and equipment • Must be able to sustain posture in a standing position for prolonged periods of time • Must be able to verbally communicate • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines • Dexterity utilizing hands and fingers to operate machinery • Ability to commute/relocate: • Northampton, MA 01060: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Are you a team player? As a member of the team you will be working independently but also with other drafters, project managers, team leaders, installers, and sub-contractors to produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models of our millwork and furniture projects. If you have experience as a craftsperson, that is a definite advantage! • Well-developed drafting and mechanical drawing skills. • A knowledge of AWI standards, mathematics, science, and engineering technology, and a solid background in computer-aided drafting (AutoCad 2018) and design techniques.
