Intermark Design Group is a model home merchandising firm located in Orlando, FL 32808. Responsibilities • Assist in developing the design project from concept to completion • Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief” • Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans • Follow guidelines that align with the designer budget • Research and decide on materials and products sourcing • Produce “sample” and “mood presentations” • Work under the supervision of a senior designer • Research and follow industry changes, design evolutions and best industry practices • Participate in model home installations and be available for overnight travel when installations are out of state. • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs • Excellent portfolio of previous work • Creative talent, imagination and eye for design • Communication and presentation skills • Project management skills • Accredited college degree in Interior Design or equivalent

Salary will be determined by the experience level of the designer and can be discussed in the interviewing process. We're looking for a person that preferably has at least 3 years of experience in the interior design business. A major portion of our work is merchandising builder model homes and we do this all over the country, so there will be some company-paid travel that will be required. Our best candidate will have AUTOCAD and Sketchup experience, degree in Interior Design or similar field, experience working with various furniture manufacturers, knowledge of designer fabrics and building materials, a basic understanding of building codes, willingness to travel, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of talented designers.
