Job Description • The Interior Designer works closely with clients to plan and design residential, commercial, and leisure spaces that meet their unique needs and preferences. • The designer analyzes client requirements and advises on interior design factors such as floor and elevation planning, color palettes, window treatments, flooring, and room cohesion. • Effective communication and follow-through are crucial in building strong relationships with clients.

Description: Responsibilities • The Design Assistant will work hands-on with Gabberts Designers. • Reviewing order paperwork for completion and accuracy. Responsibilities... • The Gabberts Interior Design Intern is tasked with learning the current trends, concepts, and elements of interior design through partnership of an Interior Designer. • To provide the most up to date information to potential clients, the Gabberts Interior Design Intern will learn about the vast array of products, vendors, and resources including materials and construction. Education/experience: This applicant needs to be currently enrolled in an Interior Design program at an accredited college or university and have basic knowledge of Interior Design. The employee may be required to push, pull, and lift furniture and accessories up to 50 pounds. Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

In addition to design skills, a large focus of the internship will be on customer focused selling. Education and / or Experience This applicant needs to be currently enrolled in an Interior Design program at an accredited college or university and have basic knowledge of Interior Design. The employee is occasionally required to sit or remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects with either the entire hand or fingers, including typing. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and can vary depending on if the employee is working in the studio or in a customers home.
