The Senior Architectural Interior Designer will communicate all design related details to the builder and our design team and oversee the progress of each project site to ensure our vision comes to life. • This position is full time located in our Newburyport Studio and is not remote. • Develop construction plans + project design vision with Gina • Engage with clients throughout the entire project about all construction details and design related items. • Communicate any and all design details to client and team, documented through email and our software systems • Take the client’s style and give it the GBID aesthetic • Be creative, forward-thinking and push the design team to new concepts and styles that fit within the GBID look • Develop each project’s inspiration, finishes and furniture selections and present to Gina • Delegate assignments to Design Assistants and review their work • Assist in presentation meetings to clients in studio or onsite • Lead job site meetings alongside Gina or alone if needed • Assist in managing client expectations with regular and clear communication. • A minimum of 3-5 years of lead architectural design experience in new construction and renovation in residential design (commercial design experience a plus) • Experience with new builds and large-scale renovations is required • The ability to work in a fast paced environment • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design (this may be overlooked based on experience).
