We are currently seeking a passionate and talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: We are looking for an Interior Designer to collaborate with our full-service clients under the direction of Lead and Principal Designer, Gina Baran. This role requires a naturally driven individual with a deep passion for interior design and a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives through design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the design vision for client projects alongside Gina.
• Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing all design-related items.
• Communicate detailed design plans to clients and the build team, documented through email and our software systems.
• Translate clients' styles into the GBID aesthetic, incorporating the latest trends.
• Generate project inspiration, finishes, and furniture selections, presenting them to Gina.
• Delegate tasks to Design Assistants and review their work for quality and accuracy.
• Assist in presentation meetings with clients, either in the studio or on-site.
• Lead job site meetings, either alongside Gina or independently as needed.
• Manage client expectations through regular and clear communication with our Operations Manager.
• Prepare and oversee project installations, ensuring flawless execution.
• Train new design team members and supervise interns.
• Foster professional relationships with industry partners.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of residential interior design experience in a lead role.
• Experience with full home furnishings and renovations.
• Extensive knowledge of furnishings vendors and design styles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent experience).
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on all aspects of a project.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Chief Architect & Photoshop are a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence and skill in presenting ideas clearly to clients and team members.
• Ability to manage all aspects of a project from consultation to installation.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and self-motivation.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for design.
