Engineering Design Manager - Aircraft Interiors

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager with a strong background in aircraft interior design to support a growing aerospace engineering services organization in Wichita, KS. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term stability and growth potential. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of 3 design engineers supporting aircraft interior projects • Oversee project timelines, design quality, and workflow coordination • Ensure design deliverables meet client specifications and aerospace industry standards • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility and compliance • Provide hands-on design support as needed to meet project deadlines • Review and approve technical drawings and models • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and clients Required Qualifications • Direct experience in aircraft interior design (required) • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (strongly preferred) or CATIA • Prior experience leading or managing technical/design teams • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on design work • Strong organizational and communication skills • Comfortable working onsite in Wichita, KS • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
