Interior Designer

Interior Designer (PART or FULL TIME DEPENDING ON APPLICANT) You must be innovative and possess the ability to bring with you experience and education that will assist to grow our company and team. Job roles and responsibilities in relation to leading the interior design project process and studio duties include but are not limited to: • Conduct client consultations solo or with a team member • Responsible for managing multiple projects from Design Concept thru Installation • Research client design styles and create inspiration and design boards • Perform market research work to understand trends as they pertain to the industry and clients • Create preliminary plans, design concepts and design presentations to present to clients • Implement plans and specifications for projects by communicating plans to general contractors or sub-contractors • Research product specifications and incorporate into plans • Create comprehensive sketches, drawings, schedules, layouts, and boards • Perform site measures and site walkthroughs as necessary • Prepare and issue minutes of all meetings and site visits as needed • Handle communication with clients through telephone, email, text messaging and official letters • Maintain knowledge of space planning, floor plans, finish plans, and elevations; and create documentation and design plans accordingly • Select and specify material, fixture, finish and furnishing selections • Maintain and organize all product sampling per project • Maintain knowledge of wholesale vendors and sub-contractors and all products pertaining to both • Familiarize and educate one self on current products carried in the studio for efficient sales, installations and repair issues • Produce sales proposals for in house merchandise • Review proposals and plans to make sure that all sizes and finishes are accurately quoted and purchased • Process, place and track orders for all products required to complete projects • Advise when items are out of stock, have inappropriate lead times, or need to be re-selected and prepare re-selections for approval • Prepare, manage and maintain virtual project binders, files, correspondence, drawings, etc. – no task too big or too small and all egos are checked at the door • Must be self-motivating, self starting, innovative and willing to take or give initiative when the needs arise • · Experience in Interior Design a plus • Experience in Residential Remodeling/New Construction Design a plus • Experience in staging and styling design a plus • Experience in residential furnishing design a plus • Highly Detail Orientated and Organized • Ability to read architectural plans • Proficient in Microsoft Office –Excel, Word, and Power Point • Proficient in Canva • Advanced computer proficiency and adaptability to learning new programs • Ability to set priorities and meet firm deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Must be able to multitask and toggle tasks as needed • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must • Strong Organizational Skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail • Strong creative eye that can adapt to client styles • Proficiency in ordering and tracking merchandise a plus • Knowledge of design principles is vital, working knowledge of construction methods is helpful • Ability to lift and move furniture • Proficiency or ability to work in Chief Architect • Proficiency or ability to work in Sketchup • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced creative environment with a sense of urgency, creativity, organization and follow through • You must absolutely be a team player. Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Interior Design Assistant - Full or Part Time

Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in design software, Chief Architect and Sketchup • Strong understanding of drafting techniques and construction documentation. • A keen eye for detail with a solid understanding material finihses and fixtures in a residential setting • Previous experience in interior design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
