About this role

Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and be proficient in various design software. This role involves collaborating with clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet their needs and preferences. Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects. • Develop design concepts and present them using sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings. • Utilize software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed designs and layouts. • Prepare construction documents, including drafting plans and specifications using Bluebeam and CAD tools. • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project completion. • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals involved in the renovation or construction process. • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to interior design. • Provide guidance on color theory, lighting design, and furniture selection to enhance the overall aesthetic of the space. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in design software, Chief Architect and Sketchup • Strong understanding of drafting techniques and construction documentation. • Knowledge renovation processes, construction practices, budgeting, and contracts is advantageous. • Excellent organization and project management skills • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. • A keen eye for detail with a solid understanding material finihses and fixtures in a residential setting • Previous experience in interior design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
